Insulator Support Group
We are pleased to announce that there will be an Insulator Support Group for our members who have suffered or are suffering from alcoholism, substance use, or mental health issues. The goal is to have a safe place to discuss addiction, mental health and life issues. This support group is inclusive to all union members, family members and retirees. The meetings will be held every Tuesday from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM beginning Tuesday, May 14, 2024. Rock Ministries – Buddy Osborn
Buddy Osborn the Chaplain for the Philadelphia Building Trades is asking for donations of personal hygiene products for the homeless. Items such as soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors, shaving cream, deodorant, feminine hygiene products, etc. The donations can be dropped off at Local 14’s Union office located at 2014 Hornig Road, Philadelphia, PA 19116. Please feel free to call with any questions.

Dues & Travelers Fees
Please be advised that minimum dues are $15.00 (Fifteen dollars) per month payable by all unemployed members. Traveler fees are $29.00 (Twenty-nine dollars) per month payable by all members on a traveling card. Your minimum dues or traveler fees are due monthly with or without notice from the Union Office.
Forms of payment accepted are: Cash, check, money order & credit card (there will be a 3% bank fee on all credit card transactions). Please call the union office at 215-289-4303 ext. 3 if you have any questions.
Job Reporting Procedure
Reminder the Job Reporting Procedure is mandatory and is the responsibility of all Foremen to report/inform the union office the exact location of every job site. Reporting this information is very important in helping the agents to monitor your jurisdiction. When you begin a job, you will have the option to call the Union office, E-Mail, or complete a Job Report Card HERE.

NJ Asbestos Refresher Eligibility Requirements
Effective March 21, 2024, the New Jersey Department of Health and New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development have updated the eligibility requirements for asbestos refresher training.
All members wishing to renew their New Jersey asbestos license must bring their current New Jersey license to the refresher class.
Statement from the New Jersey Department of Health:
The DOH has been in contact with the NJ Department of Labor and Workforce Development (DOLWD) to verify their asbestos permit renewal requirements. Students must meet the following requirements to take a NJ asbestos refresher class and be issued an Asbestos Training Information Record (ASB-24):

The Training Center is accepting applications for the September 2024 apprenticeship class.
Applications are available online at: www.insulators14jac.com.
In-person application pickup is available on the first Wednesday of the month from 8:00AM until 3:00PM.
Applications for the September 2024 class will close on May 17, 2024.
TWIC Card Information |
Active TWIC cardholders are eligible for TSA Pre-Check Expedited Screening if they meet the eligibility criteria for the TSA Pre-Check Program. When making an airline reservation, enter the following information in the Known Traveler Number (KTN) field: the Credential Identification Number (CIN) is the eight-digit number printed under the bottom left of the barcode on the back of the TWIC card. For cardholders with the newest version of the TWIC card, the CIN is also embossed on the front of the card.
